All the paintings and photographs on this page are from the private galleries of friends and family from around the world. Thank you, everyone, for allowing me to share my art!
Carrie Bucalo was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. At ten years old she became an apprentice to a Contemporary Hispanic watercolor painter who taught her color, composition, and the various forms of watercolor painting. For the next eight years, Carrie painted as an apprentice and developed her own unique style.
At eighteen years old, Carrie took her watercolors with her to the Carmelite Monastery of Santa Fe, New Mexico. For the next three years she continued developing her watercolor techniques in monastic silence and solitude in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.
As an Army wife and mother, Carrie paints on commission and is working to expand several collections for exhibition. Her paintings can be found in hundreds of homes and private galleries around the world. To inquire about her paintings or to learn more about her artworks, email Carrie at info@healedbytruth.com or healedbytruthoutreach@gmail.com.
In celebration of the 20th anniversary of her Carmelite Collection, Carrie Bucalo, along with Healed By Truth Gallery presents the Timeless Art Exhibition 2023. This is a compilation of three distinct collections tied with the common thread of faith, healing, and hope for survivors of childhood abuse in the Catholic Church. It is a window into the heart of a survivor, as well as a profession of faith.
